Default Video card upgrade...

Hi, im looking to get a different video card i think the one i got is about to go out but its been a good one.. believe its in my sig.. but anyways my screen will just black out for 2 secounds then go back to normal every now and then and sometimes got like weird lines on my screen every now and then so figure its my card finally goin out.. temps are fine on comp.. what card would you guys suggest for 150-200 bucks?

holy cow just looked up my video card history when i bought it... bought it in 2008! so its 4 years ago way past its life i think... 6870 perform well?

Cool, also have a question my screen will black out for couple seconds this come back would that be the sign of my video card going out?

It could be the card, last summer I also had a similar problem but it turned out that my LCD panel was dying.

This. Sounds like your screen is dieing rather than your card. Do you get any error messages from the PC when this happens? If not, then most likely screen or bad connection. My Samsung started flashing white when I punched it =/

Hmm damn.. well i do have a Hanns-G 28 inch monitor LCD ive had for 5 years now.. i do notice like strange lines that you can barely notice from time to time but didnt think much of it. But no never got any errors.

Have you gotten a chance to test a second monitor yet?

No 2nd monitor.. not without buying one anyways... maybe ill just test it on a 32 inch LCD TV.
