video card comp out?

theres a port on the back of my old card that says Comp Out and is yellow.. would that be the same as a video cord for a tv? would that do the same as a S-video cable? or is it something completely different

Well, it should be S-Video, but if it just has one hole for the connector, it could be a video AV.

Would help if we had a photo to be sure.

It's probably an s/pdif port and no it does not do video it's for audio.

hik, its on the Gforce mx 440 I know its not an svideo, cuz im using that now as we speak on the card in my comp now to watch a movie but heres a pic sorry for the quality had to use cell phone

Lol, I have the same card in my old machine, actually. It's a S/PDIF port. 35g700 had the right idea.

yeah it is lol i just picked it up otuta the closet and have never seen that port on it before. So.. its an audio port..?

You are supposed to use it with the S-Video port. S-Video doesn't carry and audio signal, so they added the S/PDIF port to handle that.
