Default VGA to DVI or HDMI?

my current monitor is a VGA, but the xfx 6870 gfx card that Im getting only has DVI and HDMI ports. So I know i'll need an adapter/convertor, however, I am having difficulty finding one...

I heard that the 5850 came with a VGA/HDMI converter, but does the 6870 come with one as well, if not, could someone link me to a good one? I've done some searched an the only ones I can find have horrible 1-2 star reviews across 50+ people.

would it be better to find an adapter to convert to DVi or HDMI? can i find something for around $5?

and could you suggest a good converter to me? it would be greatly appreciated.

Usually the card will come with an adapter. Seeing as either piece will be converting it to the same signal (VGA), it won't matter which one you get. That said, you'll save a couple bucks getting a VGA to DVI adapter.

Both DVI and HDMI are digital, right? So it wouldn't matter. The most common is DVI to VGA.
