Default Which V-card is better?

Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!

the only real difference is that the Gigabyte is GDDR3 w/ 775MHz core and the Sapphire is GDDR4 w/ 666MHz core

the sapphire is better, and you can always overclock the core/mem clocks.

The Sapphire would probably be your better buy, agreed.

why wouldn't the faster core be better? also this will be going in a PCIe 1.0 x16 slot for the time being.

also the Sapphire has some reviewers complaining about overheating problems, while the Gigabyte has a Zalman heatsink stock.

it should be fine, just download riva tuner and crank up the fan speed if its too low. also don't read the reviews because half the time the newegg people don't know what they are talking about and just want to show off their rigs. and the faster core would be better if the ram were the same type. The gddr4 makes it worth the 10 bucks more.
