Hi all, I only have a CRT 8" monitor... And well, I'm very desperate for an upgrade.
I was looking at monitors the other day, than I thought, why not buy a $10 cable and hook it up to the TV.
I know quality is not as good on the TV, but I figure it beats what I have.
I've got a 40" Phillips HDTV. It has HDMI, Components, and AV hookups. (I think I got the names right.. ? )
And I have a GeForce 6200 on the PC I want to hook up to the TV.
What gets the best quality? DVI to HDMI? or S-Video Component cable?
I do have a regular S-Video cable, the quality is horrible with it. And to read anything I have to use 800 x 600 resolution.
Also, will a higher resolution, like the max resolution my card can take, will it put allot of stress on the card? Will I be able to run any games? (I'm a casual gamer.. Usually online games and The Sims 2)
