Default USB cable length... how long is too long?

I need to get my wireless antenna closer to the hub for a better signal ( too many walls, ceilings, etc.) With a longer USB cable will I lose signal quality or strength, and how long of a cable is available.. any other ideas?

Default

Max allowable length for a USB 2.0 cable is 5m or around 15 feet. If you need to go farther than that, then you'll need a powered hub and another cable.
