Upgrading video card!

I have an Intel D945GNT motherboard and a nvidia 6600 video card (PCI-E). I was wondering if I upgrade to a video card that has a ddr2 memory, would my motherboard support it? for example, im upgrading to nvidia 8400...

Yes your motherboard will support it. However, the 8400GS isnt going to be much of an upgrade....

Well i looked up some comparisons and i think i like 7300 gt(it's more affordable for me), is it a good upgrade?

not really, no. Try to score a used 7900GT or x1950pro off ebay

a 6600GT to a 8400GS isnt really a downgrade, but its not a smart upgrade.

And your motherboard will support all PCI-Express cards, not just DDR2 videocards.

The memory on the GFX card is independent of the motherboard. My rig has DDR, but my GFX card is DDR3.
