I have an Intel D945GNT motherboard and a nvidia 6600 video card (PCI-E). I was wondering if I upgrade to a video card that has a ddr2 memory, would my motherboard support it? for example, im upgrading to nvidia 8400...
thanks!

hahaha... i dont noticed that it is a downgrade, anyways, it's irrelevant, i just wanted to know if my mobo can support ddr2 video cards... THANKS a lot dudes! Keep on rockin!

Well i looked up some comparisons and i think i like 7300 gt(it's more affordable for me), is it a good upgrade?

a 6600GT to a 8400GS isnt really a downgrade, but its not a smart upgrade.

And your motherboard will support all PCI-Express cards, not just DDR2 videocards.

thanks guys! i have now decided and i will stick to my trusty 6600 video card! hahaha! and on the bright side, ive learned something from this... thanks dudes! keep rockin!

The memory on the GFX card is independent of the motherboard. My rig has DDR, but my GFX card is DDR3.
