Question Upgrading RAM in a Asus A8V-E Deluxe

I have an A8V-E Deluxe board, with 2x512 Kingston KVR400X64C3A/512 DIMMs currently installed. Curiously, the motherboard manual says that these DIMMs should not be able to run in dual channel mode although CPU-Z tells me otherwise (dual enabled).

I would like to upgrade to 2GB and stay in Dual Channel mode, is it possible to do this by only buying 1GB of memory or do I have to start from scratch?

Thanks a ton

Default

They should be running in dual channel. Just add the same pair of sticks in the empty slots and you should be fine. (4 sticks total - 3 sticks can only run single channel)
