Lightbulb upgrading processor

hey i have a AMD Sempron 3100+ processer and it does me pretty well but i was just wondering if i could possibly upgrade it to maybe a AMD Athlon 64. is it possible? well anyways plz post answers!!!

your current proc. is socket 754. any other processor for socket 754 *should* work. yes, you could get an athlon 64. you could upgrade to this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103461

i don't know everything about AMD's though...does anyone know if there's any other factors to consider?
