Default Upgrading older socket A rig, advice needed

First off, apologies for cross posting this. The original was not in the proper forum.

My second PC is an Athlon XP 2500 with an aging Gigabyte NF2 mobo (7n400-L I think) and an even more aging GF FX5200 GPU.

Since im a glutton for punishment, and I already have a more modern rig (see sig) I want to upgrade this bad boy to handle more modern games. But as you can see, i'm fairly limited due to my CPU socket. I was thinking of slamming in the fastest sempron proccessor availible to start, then maxing out the ram, but im at a loss as to what GPU I should get.

What are my options? What can I buy that wont be wasted on a 400mhz FSB?

-DFI Lanparty NF4 Ultra-D
-AMD 64 3000 Winnie
-eVga 6600GT (PCIe)
-Mushkin Dual Pack PC3200 (512 X2)
-Lite-On CD-RW
-Creative Live! Series 5.1 surround sound w/subwoofer
-Fans Galore
