Default Upgrading older rig, need advice.

I have an AMD Ahtlon XP 2500 running on a Gigabyte Nforce 2 Mobo and an FX5200 card. I want to plunk down some money to get this thing running modern games decently, but I really dont want to pay for a new motherboard or CPU, since I already have a 64 bit platform (sig).

So, staying with socket A, how can I get the most out of this aging combo? Whats the fastest GPU I can effectivley use on a 400mhz bus? Any advice is welcome

But would I really see the full benefit of such a card with a 400mhz FSB? Whats the point of having a card with a 1200mhz core speed, for example, if my aging Mobo's bus is 400mhz. Wont that diminish it's capabilities? I guess im just looking for maximum efficeincy.

Hey well if you are wanting to get the best AGp card ou right now why not get this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130275

7800gs. It will be a bottleneck though so whats the point of buying a new videocard that is too good for the rig. So i say just get a 6600gt.
