Upgrading my Emachine.

Hi.

Well I have this computer that is alright for what I need. I might do some gaming so i need something that will work awesome. Well this is what I have. It is an EMachine T6520 they do not make it anymore. And here are the specs.

Well what I want to do is get a new mother board for it 1gb of ram and a dual core processor (AMD of course). I just need integrated video. And I have 2 IDE HDD's in it right now. If you could find a mobo that has IDE on it please get me that one. I am trying to look under 300$. Thankyou.

Integrated video wont be so awesome for gaming, but I am sure you already know that.

Yes definitely a better power supply as thirdshiftdj suggested, But make sure you find the correct size of power supply. I just worked on one of these Emachines for a CO-Worker and their is not much room for upgrades.

So just change the power supply and I am pretty much good to go then? I will be getting a new vid card once I get the money.

Well never done any overclocking. I know what it is just never done it.

I know you wanted amd but intel allendale e2160 overclock really good for the price, if your case really dosnt have much room you might have a hard time getting a high end graphics card in it. I have a 8800 gts in my acer ASE-700 and its a really tight fit, i have to take it out before i can do anything else, like change ram or something.
