My current system, Dell Dimension 2400, only has pci slots. Im looking to upgrade the motherboard but keep the same processor and ram. 1st off, is there a way I can find exactly what kind of processor i have? i know it is a Pentium 4, but are there different "flavors" of P4's? I have , currently, a single 256mb stick of SDRAM. I would like the motherboard to have at least a pci-x x16 slot. Thanks

Oh, dear. I'd forget saving the RAM if I were you; RDRAM is expensive and hard to find. You could save the processor, but the question is is it worth it? You're practically going to be rebuilding because Dell uses propreitary mobos, cases, and PSUs.
