Hello Everyone. Just had a quick question. I have a Ethernet PCI 10/100 LAN Adapter Network Interface Card in my computer right now and I see they have the 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit PCI Ethernet PCI LAN Cards for sale. Would my internet be faster if I got that 1000Mbps card or not? My computer and another computer are both connected through our Linksys Wireless WRT54G but both computers are wired in. Would this be a good investment to bump it up or would me internet still be the same speed as it is now?

Thanks for your help!

i'm not 100% on this, so someone please correct me if i'm wrong.

but i do believe it will only matter if you're internet speeds are above 1000mbps, otherwise it won't make a difference.
so it depends on what your internet speeds are. not liek your download speeds, but yoru actual connection.

Yep, Peter's right. Currently ethernet technology is capable of supporting much faster connections than are around. Even a 100Mbs Lan card won't slow down your average broadband connection.

Internet speed will remain the same.
Ethernet speed will also remain the same.
Network transfer speed will remain the same.
