Default Upgrading CPU, is it important to reset bios?

I am upgrading from an E6700 core 2 to a Q6750 on a Asus P5K-E/Wifi board.

I presently have the cpu and the ram overclocked. My question is: Is it ok to go ahead with the swap without resetting the bios settings first?
