Default Upgrading

Looking to upgrade my PC. I am wanting to keep the price at around $550 or less.

Right now I'm looking at getting these 4 items

Newegg.com - ASUS ENGTS250 DK/DI/1G GeForce GTS 250 1GB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

Newegg.com - CORSAIR XMS3 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMX4GX3M2A1600C9 - Desktop Memory

Newegg.com - ASUS P5E3 PRO LGA 775 Intel X48 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards

Newegg.com - Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz 6MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor - Processors - Desktops

Do you think this is a good choice of products for more of a cheap upgrade?

SAPPHIRE 100283-2L Radeon HD 5770 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
DX11, free usb drive

Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!
no performance gain from using DDR3 ram with LGA 775 board
might as well go for i5

total is slightly over budget @ $570

or go with phenom quad to stay under budget

No reason to build a 775 setup at this point. Look at a PII or go with this cpu/mb combo for $87 more than your current setup.

i5-750 with ASUS P7P55D Deluxe LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard
Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more! $389
ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 :: INTEL i7 920 @3.4 :: XFX GTX260 :: 6gb Corsair 1600 :: Corsair 750TX :: TRUE 120 :: Samsung T240 24" :: Windows 7 X64
