Upgraded to 1GB PC2700 2100 DDR333 LOW DENSITY MEMORY

Hi all. I upgraded my computer today with the 1gb memory. I have the 1gb and also a 512mb in the system and after I put the 1gb memory in, it still seems the same speed as when I had only the 512 in. It was a low density memory. My computer is a Emachines W2888.

Let me know if you know anything about this or how I could improve its performance?

Speed doesn't increase if you use the same speed of memory...

So really that 1gb doesnt do really anything at all? Do I even need it then?

It helps reduce lag when you have more programs running.
