Upgrade graphics for games

Are you trying to say that vista isn't an upgrade?

Doesn't seem thats what his saying. But it sounds like his implying it. He would be correct to imply Vista sucks. Can't wait for Windows 7, just hope they can get rid of 32 bit OS Virus by then.

Ok I think I might just get an 8600gt for now as they're not too expensive. What's a good version to go for? preferably one where I don't need to upgrade my power supply.

Vista doesn't suck. it got a lot of bad press at the beginning but SP1 cleared up a lot of the complaints. I use vista ultimate 64 on my main machine and I love it.

TBH I just built my computer i have now w/ vista and i think it's 100x better than xp.. but that's my opinion.

the 8600GT is not a fast card. You wont need to upgrade your psu, but don't expect do blaze through modern games. but unfortunately there isn't much else you can squeeze in.

I've seen one for about £40 so I think I'll grab that for now then get a better system next time I buy

Next time build one. If you need help by all means come back and we will help you configure one. You will get more power for less cash by building a pc.

8600gt is ok. You should be able to play Medium settings on 99% of games.

Yeah you will get about the same performance of a 7900GT without the ram issues.
