Default Updating a bios....

I'm a little unsure of this bios update tutorial...

ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support-

After a run through the first couple of steps, do I have to follow the Use built-in EZ Flash BIOS to Refresh as well or is that just an alternate method?

Which instruction set are you referring to? The link you posted has a list of them for different motherboards.

Also, I just released the new motherboard I am going to buy does not support a floppy drives... or at least doesn't have the old connection for the original floppy drives... I've been reading around trying to find other ways to flash my bios without a floppy. Everything I've read is very, very vague.

This is probably the best tutorial I found that I can actually understand: Update Your BIOS Using Bootable CD

However, at the bottom of the tutorial it says to switch to Drive Z from Drive A. How do you do that?

Your motherboard CD should come with a BIOS update program that works in Windows.
