Default TV tuners?

Hi all,

I just bought a Dell Inspiron 9300 laptop which comes with Windows Media Center, and I wanted to get a TV tuner for it but I am very confused at the moment.

Windows Media Center claims I can record, pause and rewind live TV being displayed on the TV itself (not necessarily only on the laptop). However I have been browsing TV tuners and many of them say they are incompatible with Windows Media Center? Could someone let me know what exactly I need to look for?

I would like to use it as a TiVO where I can watch, record, and rewind TV right in the TV screen (not in my laptop screen). Is this possible to do or did I read wrong?

Many Thanks!
