hi, i'm looking to upgrade my computer a little.

1. monitor: i have a old Dell 1800FP and i want another...just becuase. I have a few problems with it though. Thishttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824112176monitor is widescreen, my monitor is not. Will it still work in daul screen?

2. RAM. I just need to know if i shoudl upgrade to 2gb or 3gb

3. DVD burner. Budget is $50....or a little higher. But keep it cheap and reliable.

Do you currently have 1GB of RAM? It should be enough for most applications. What do you use your computer for?

i have a gb of corsiar RAM. i use my computer for Gaming....

1GB should be fine. There's not much difference between 1GB and 2GB. There's a nice article about it somewhere on www.Tomshardware.com

1GB is fine, 2Gb is hardly used by most modern applications and games.

For your monitor I'd stick with Viewsonic, LG or maybe even Acer.

I don't know a lot about optical drives, but maybe someone else can help you out there.
