Thinking of buying a new computer.

I had been considering buying one of the new game consoles that are coming out but decided that with a computer you can get more out of your money. I know a little about computers and found one with a price I like and specs I like also. Is there any problems that you know of that I could run into with a Compaq Presario SR195ONX? After buying a computer I am looking to buy a vid card. The last video card I owned was a Geforce 3 and things have changed alot since then. Does anyone have any recommendations for me not more than $200? The eVGA Geforce 7800GT caught my eye but I really dont know much. I also dont want to blow my card with a sorry power supply so any help would be great.
