Are these good? (Graphics and Processor)

Hi Guys,

I'm still unsure on my desktop selection, I've just configured a dell 5150, and it has a:

- Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor 650 with HT technology (3.40GHz, 800MHz fsb, 2MB cache)

and a:

- 256MB ATI Radeon® X600 HyperMemory graphics card

and 2 gig of ram.

Would this set up run games well? and would it be vaguely future proof for a while, (games and programs wise?!)

Thanks a lot for comments, (and also, if you have any other ideas for a sub £1000 (ex VAT) computer let me know!)

Wow...that video card is going to majorly bottleneck your games.

Any reason you don't want to build? Dell is rarely a good option, if ever, IMHO.

bottleneck being negative I assume...?!? Anyway, I'll look around, do you have any brand reccomendations, as I'm very confused at what to get, and I've got to be quick, (1-2 weeks...)

X600 is a really terrible video card if you're trying to game. If I got anything less than an X700 that I have right now, I'd probably snap. It works, but it's the bare minimum, and won't cut it after a few months.
