I am looking at newegg.com at my pc at the moment and I am torn between tuniq thermal paste and artic silver.
Before I stopped using my celeron d and sold it to somebody in need, my cousin had some artic silver 5 he had let me keep his and use it for my work.
Seing as how the celeron d 347 was at 3.2ghz nonstop I saw 5 percent drop while using that paste on it.

54c-48c with no load.

Currently on my unlocked amd phenom ii, the summer heat has been getting to it but my room air unit keeps it cooled off.
Last I checked the temp is at 56c at full load without any work it stays at 48c.

To anyone who owns a amd quadcore of any type what would you highly recommend ?

Artic silver 5 or tuniq ?

Newegg.com - Arctic Silver Ceramique Thermal Compound - Thermal Compound / Grease

Newegg.com - Tuniq TX-2 Cooling Thermal Compound

Thanks in advance.

It's really amazing to me how people are so stuck on AS5

All I asked for a just a suggestion, besides it's been 3 years since I ever touched or thought about using AS5.
I went ahead and got the tuniq X2, thanks slaymate for your help.

Arctic Silver was the best for a long, long time. It is what people know and remember. It's up to us to educate people about the new stuff that's better now. ;)
