Default Test to make sure all components are running correctly?

Sorry for the dumb question, but how can I test to make sure all of my hardware is performing correctly?

I'm asking because I received a DOA HDD and want to make sure everything else is working to full potential (specifically the GPU, PSU, and memory) before I cut off some UPCs for rebates...

Maybe some sort of stress test...?

Thanks!
