Default Switching from PC to Laptop... Comparison...

My PC consists of:

120 gig HD
Enermax power supply
Mushkin DDR ram 1GB
DFI LanParty Mobo
ATI Radeon 8900 Video card
Athlon Processor...

I am no computer genius, my friend helped me build this...

BUT, I am going off to college in a bit and need to switch to a handy laptop...

One of my friends mentioned getting this... CLICK

Is that better, or worse than the comp I currently have?

And would that laptop be able to run high graphic games, like Bf2... Half life 2... Etc...

Is it decent considering it's priced at 2 grand?...

Is there anything a bit cheaper that is as nice as that? ...

Anyone recommend anything?

the best gaming laptop for that price range is the dell xps m170 pentium m 760/1gb ram/geforce go 7800 gtx
http://configure.us.dell.com/dellsto...iMX170G3&s=dhs
change the memory to 2gb thats 2124$ total , and if you can afford yourself to spend bit extra change the hard drive to 80/100 7200rpm

you gotta be kiddin , if you want a gaming laptop 2G is the minimum youll wanna spend , a laptop for 1G and less will be very bad for gaming , newegg is an excellent store with great service/prices and a huge selection of parts but i wouldnt say their the overall best it depends on what you wanna buy , they arent the the #1 choice when it comes to laptops , anyway now that you know that for 1G and less it wont be good for gaming do you still want suggestions?

Yeh... Prolly just gunna play counter strike on it... Any modern laptop could handle that I would imagine...

Ya, something around a grand... 1500 maximum...

I want it to be fast and all, like a 100 gig hd...

What might you recommend?
