I've got 2 Gateway comps:
1: Gateway GT5668e
Vista Home Premium 32 bit
AMD Athlon 64x2 6000+ 3.0GHz
3Gb 667Mhz DDR2 RAM
2: Gateway DX4720-03
Vista Home Premium 64 bit
Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200 2.5GHz
4Gb 800Mhz DDR2 RAM
I want to know if I can just swap the Hard Drive's and RAM so I can utilize the AMD with my 64 bit Vista and faster RAM? And would this be a wise choice as far as performance goes, if it's an option?
If that's not an option, how would I get the 64 bit and RAM over to the AMD motherboard? Can I use recovery discs to reinstal the 64bit once I get the hardware moved over?
Thanks a Million!
