Default Super low price build

This is going to be for a grand-daughter of a family friend. The build is for a mATX rig to play TF2 and WoW. I have a mATX case from the old computer. The budget is 300-400 using NewEgg (of course). The optical and hard drive may be reusable but both will be IDE and the optical is probably a CD drive so new would be better.

I worked on putting something together but ended up with a headache. AMD/Intel doesn't matter as long as it is a dual core or better. This is for the tower only.

Not bad at all. I can finagle a bit with that.

NewEgg has a Page full of low priced Barebones here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...019&IsNodeId=1 in the 3-4 hundred range, even a couple of i7s and one with Win7 Home Premium preloaded. Some are less than $100.

If time is money you'll save an hour or two building and testing. Caution: You (sometimes) get what you pay for.

The i7 builds don't have chips or gpus... thats a good $400 add on.

Yeah, I ordered a Builder Series. It seems that Corsair actually listened to the hue and cry about the craptastic quality of the first batches and tightened up the quality controls.

It seems the 430cx was the biggest offender. Looks not bad... especially if it unlocks.

$448 and change counting tax (NewEgg has a warehouse in my state FML). It looks like it will work out nice.

That is a fairly nice looking Case for $30. Good choice of Processor.

What about the Keyboard, Mouse, Monitor and Operating System, that is another $200.

Since your in the States I checked out BB here: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olstempl...questid=137900 a few new Systems and many Factory Refurbished on that page.

Too late for this new complete (KBD, Mouse, XP Home Pro) System (expect Monitor) for $399 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Asus+-+E...&skuId=2634111
