A jigsaw and some clamps are a plus, hacksaw, razor knife, screwdrivers, hammer, sanding pad or a sander, drill and drill bits, a rivet gun could be useful, a metal brake would lead to a really nice case. You'd be surprised at how many different people have or have access to a metal brake, if you know any construction workers they may have access to one. I live in the country, way out in the woods and I can think of 4 places within a 15 minutes drive where I could use one or get the work done for cheap (or you could build your own brakeplans.pdf.) If you know anyone with a welder that could also help. One of these Modder Ruler can be really helpful.

You may or may not need various tools but the more you have, or have access to, really helps. And if you plan everything out good and focus on the tasks at hand you may find a work around for a lot of the chores.

I got another question. Back when I was replacing the stock heatsinks, I couldn't buy any heatsink that big. But now that I want it open air, choices open up.

Is this overkill? Deepcool North Bridge Cooler 8 at Xoxide!

Man, I love look and the price. Plus it has clips.

I'll have to double check, tomorrow, but I think I have one of these laying around at my office.
