streaks on monitor

I have had this monitor for about 2 years and it has dark streaks going across the screen. Anyone know what may be causing it to do that? I have checked all connections and they are fine.

How old is the monitor? Is it still in warranty? Does it do it in the BIOS?

2 years old, no warranty either. I will check in bios to see if it does it then.

It does it in bios as well. The only time is doen't do it is right before my desktop icons are added on startup.

I'm not trying to be a bossy guy or anything, but I know your sig is WAY too big talldude. Check the site rules for sizes that are allowed before you get your privilages revoked.

Your monitor clearly is causing the problem. Unless you know the mechanics of monitors, you'll have to live with it or purchase a new one.
