yeah I agree, from what I have read, decent mobo's seem to be the limiting factor in cost and overclockability at this point.

oh, and the fact the chips arent available to the public yet!

Any of the Conroes, even the X6300 is performing VERY well in preliminary tests done over at XS Forums. I think that the X6300 was beating the FX-62 on most of the tests.

So you're saying even the lowest Intel Conroe will be better than the best AMD (for example, FX-60)? Is that what you guys are getting at?
New build in progress, but this is what I got for now:
-AMD x2 5200+
-Asus M3A78-EM AM2+
-Buffalo 2x1gb ddr2 800
-Hitachi 250gb Sata HDD
-Antec Minuet Case w/ 350w psu
-Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
