I'm building my first PC, but my old one still works (sort of).
I'm not sure exactly of the parts, but I know it has a 1.5Ghz core, 256MB RAM, a weak graphics card that struggles with TF2, and a sticker on the side of the case saying that 2 trees were planted in it's honour.
I bought it about 8 years ago, so it's really slowing down, and crashing frequently.
I was wondering if taking some of the old parts and just putting them in the spare sockets of a new PC would boost performance, or whether I should just throw them out/put it in a museum?
