just make sure you dont have a long sleeve shirt on, also make sure you touch the psu or pc case on a regular basis, make sure you stand on a dry rough surface and you should be FINE !!! :) but if your still worried just go buy a wrist band...its not like they cost alot :p
 
When i built my pc i didnt take any of this into consideration lol apart from to touch the psu. didnt even think about itanything else. luckily i didnt get any shocks.
 
dont walk around on the carpet too much, use a wrist wrap connected to your case, dont touch any components directly, always handle the edges, roll up your sleeves, pray to God.
A cold room with low humidity is the kiss of death so make sure you have good humidity and temperature.

Always keep components in a sealed anti-static bag except for the brief time when you actually install it.

Static may not blow your components completely, but if you dont take any precautions your likely to degrade them, causing poor performance and early failure.
