Default starting to build first computer need seggestions!

Hey everyone! i am new to computer building but i know a lot about computers and how they go together! so i need some suggestions!

i want to try to keep it under $600!

i want to use this case:
Newegg.com - LOGISYS Computer CS888CL Transparent Clear Acrylic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case Pre-Assembled - Retail

i want to use one of these power supplies:
Newegg.com - Rosewill Stallion Series Dual Ball Bearing Fan RD500-2-DB ATX V2.2 500W Power Supply 115V/230V CSA, UL, TUV, FCC - Retail
Newegg.com - APEVIA ATX-AS500W-GN ATX 500W Power Supply 115/ 230 V CB IEC 950/ TUV EN 60950/ UL 1950/ CSA 950 - Retail
Newegg.com - APEVIA ATX-AS520W-BK ATX 520W Power Supply 115/ 230 V CB IEC 950/ TUV EN 60950/ UL 1950/ CSA 950 - Retail
Newegg.com - APEVIA ATX-AS520W BLUE ATX 520W Power Supply 115/ 230 V CB IEC 950/ TUV EN 60950/ UL 1950/ CSA 950 - Retail

but i don't know what i want for the other parts! all suggestions are appreciated!


alls i know is i want at least 2gb of ram and at least a 250gb hdd!

intel e2180
gigabyte p35-ds3l
corsair xms2 ddr2 (i have some for sale cheap )
nvidia 9600GT
western digital or seagate 250gb or 500gb Hdd

That should come in under 600 bucks. Ste will probably have something to say about your choice of power supply though. Might want to check out the corsair VX 450 or 550 for a good low cost psu.

I heard as far as the e2000 series goes that the e2160 overclocks very well. In case you would like the most bang for your buck. You also may want to look into a good heatsink/fan combo if you go this route.

How much are you selling the corsair xms2 ddr2 for?

30 + shipping.

As far as the 2180vs2160, the price difference is usually like 10 bucks, which makes it worth getting the 2180. Oh ya, add in an AF7 cooler and you can hit 3ghz on the 2180 pretty easy.

i don't know what video card i want yet! but if u have any suggestions hit me!
all this is about $410! i'm trying to keep it under $600! i still need a heat sink and a video card! any thing i'm missing let me know!
