SSD / HD hybrid - Worth it?

In a laptop most all 2.5" drives that are large are actually 5400RPM, and it saves on battery life too. SSD performance is irrelevant as long as IOPS are high.
That's another point for going with an ssd instead of the dual drive as the ssd uses even less power than a 5400rpm spinner.

If you need 1TB of storage though that dual drive may be a good solution, even if not the best performance wise.
 
Yea its direct purpose is for 120GB and 1TB dedicated in a single bay for a laptop. Not like the cache drives that Seagate offers. THose are pretty crap tbh.
