what would you guys recomend for a sound card though? and ill prolly get a cheaper video card for now or when the time comes. and just build the rest. because the gaming/movies part isnt too important to me. i'd rather have a daily use and then upgrade the video/sound cards later. so what do you guys think?

it didnt have to be moved to audio. i wasnt too worried about it. just had a question. i been looking for my thread too. haha. any chance it can go back to the building section?

i personally like the asus xonar (i use it and an aardvark 8 channel direct input)


it doesnt skip like alot of the "gamer extreme" cards when recording with Adobe Audition (im talking 3-4 tracks at a time, minimum.. those cards just cant handle it)


the asus xonar does fine for me, so thats my recommendation,


but if your just playing games and watching movies you wont need something like this, and any of the x-fi cards are fine
