Hey all,

I'm looking to buy a kick ass vid card, something that will give me a noticeable difference in performance definately graphics quality. I currently have a Saphire x300SE 256mb vid card (pci-express 16x) in a system. I'm not sure what to choose from, hope someone can help?

Here are a few I've looked at...

Saphire: X800 GT 256MB PCI-E Radeon x800GT 256M PCI-Expressx16VGA/DVI/TV-Out

Saphire: X800 GTO 256MB PCI-E Radeon x800GTO 256MB PCI-Express x16 VGA DVI TV-Out

Saphire: X800 GTO FB 256MB PCI-E Radeon x800GTO FireBlade (560MHz+ DDR) 256MB PCI-Express x16 VGA DVI TV-Out

Connect3D: Radeon X800 GTO 256MB 256BIT GDDR3 PCI-E VGA DVI VIVO Video Card

These are all roughly in the price range I'm looking to spend, but I'm not
sure which one to get and how much better each is compared to eachother, also if I went with an x700 PRO which is cheaper would that be a wiser choice then going with any of the x800 models I listed above, hope someone can help me , thank you!

**BTW, the PC I'm putting it on has a DFI lanparty Nforce4 mobo (socket 939), ahtlon xp 64 3000 (venice core) 1 gig kingston pc3200 ram, 80 gig HD.

connect3D makes good cards; they have a good reputation but you used to be able to unlock it from 12 pipelines to 16 but now it is impossible to do so in their revision 2. I speak from expereince.

Nevertheless, the X800 GTO is a good card, better than the X700, and I know a few users who run this card in their high performance rigs. It is good money for performance.

I believe the X800 GTO2 is still overclockable. Look for the X800 GTO2 version.
