nope my system was cheaper and will be the better performer in the end. with a budget like yours building is the way to go it isn't you just plug the right part in the right hole you dont have to solder any wires it is really simple.

As stated earlier, since you have a rather large budget, Intel Core 2 is the ONLY choice.... I have to admit that I am an AMD fanboy, but right now, the C2D is the BEST thing out there.
