Question Socket 370 Tualatin cpu v celeron

hi can anyone please explain the difference netween tualatin an celeron cpus. is there a pin array difference ? or is it purely the FSB speed ? wanted to upgrade from celeron to a slightly faster tualatin cpu , they both have FSB 100 mhz , i know adapters are available , but why need one ? whats the difference ? thanks bill

Default Re: Socket 370 Tualatin cpu v celeron

There are such thing as Tualatin Celeron's

The Celeron is just the cheaper version of the Pentium (1, 2, 3 or 4)

'tualatin' is just the name of a particular core revision. In fact, the last (and best) core revision of the Pentium 3's - or celeron's based on Pentium 3's

The first core revision is the Katmai (slot 1), then there's the Coppermine (slot 1 and socket 370), then the Tualatin (socket 370)
