it depends what type of touch screen there are 6 different types of tech that result in the type of touchscreen that is used and which environment it is suited.....
The smallest screen I have seen for sale with a clear image was 3" don't ask me where it was though as I can't remember it just took a bit of searching when I was looking at building a modded display
