Default From single core to dual core need help.

Hello !

So.. I got some "money pocket" And I'm interested in buying a Dual Core but first I would like to know what are the benefits and goodies about the dual core cpu.

My current Processor is a AMD 3700+ 1MB L2 cache (San Diego)

I'm not a overclocker btw.

My "money pocket" range is between $0 to $280.

Let me know if you need to know something else abut my PC.

Thnx in advance

att Phanto

You may need a new motherboard.
What's your current one?

I am not the best at this sort of thing but i thought that i might as well give it a shot while i am bored. This is what i would do.

I would go with the http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131041

for a mother board and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115004

for the cpu. That is a litte over budget i think or you could fo the E6300. Hope that helps a little. Not sure if your ram would be compatable though.
