3300 Pete. And yeah, i see what you're saying. The onboard handles most games at decent resolutions and higher settings pretty well on it's own, which is why I was thinking to stick with that for now until he can afford a really good card, instead of throwing money away on the 3850 up front.
A 3300 is just an overclocked 3200 so it's still massively slower than a 3850. While the 3300 is good for a igp it's still not a gaming card and a 3850 would be a big improvement.
