Should I buy a graphics card?

Ok so I've built my first computer(yay!). specs are

I want to know if i should buy a gpu to play blurays and bluray files. HDMI to TV setup.Not much gaming going on yet but maybe once I have time. Budget is maybe $150 USD. Do i need a separate gpu? and any tweaking for the bios or advice on setup of this rig would be great. Thanks in advance.

You should be fine playing blu-ray, without a separate gpu. Get a dedicated card if you run into problems or play games which require more power.

Think your setup is good, for media running you should be good.

ok so i cant get it to play on the tv? i can see it start up and it gets to the "windows is starting" screen then tv goes blue with no signal.philips model 47pfl6704d/f7. I can actually see the desktop if i start the comp in safe mode. I'm missing somethin stupid. plz help

Can be resolution related... set your laptop to the tv res.
