Default Which should I buy?

I want to buy a better processor for my P.C (XP), but I've come across a grey patch for me. I hear that that AMD Sempron arn't as powerful as Athlon, so I was wondering if I should buy a Sempron 3400 or Athlon 3000. I want to get one of those, so no other suggestions please.

Socket 754 b.t.w

Semperons are like Celerons. They suck. Athlons are more trustworthy.

Semperon's aren't that bad. They are perfect for what they are intended to do. Shummway would tear you apart if he heard that. He'll go silent Bob on you.
