Default Server machines??

I always see these for sale along with desktop computers.

The question is. What's the difference?

Why would a server be different than a normal desktop computer.

Of course I'm not a complete idiot so I can deduct some things.

#1: It needs to be on 24/7 so you'll need a good PSU and fan.

#2: You'll need a good NIC card.

And rofl that's all I can really think of.

I don't really see the need for a gfx card here.

The server should also have a massive HDD.

What amount of gigs is good for a server hd?

Thanks for answering the questions.

Depends on what you're doing with it. The harddrives would preferably be SCSI, something you don't normally see on desktop PCs because it's so expensive and fast, and if you have really heavy traffic, a good processor.
