Default Server.

I just ordered a dellpoweredge 1425. i have windows xp on it now, and im not sure witch OS to put on this. I have installed apache. is there a better program for hosting websites? i also need to host a email server, what software is there available for that.
im a noob at servers is there anything else i need to know to start hosting a website.

Oh ya and im still working on getting a static ip address.

You may want to look HERE first

and at CentOS instead of Redhat

Linux is the way to go for servers

If so, check out dreamspeask... they offer free server 08r2 to students.
