Im looking at building my first pc soon, ive been looking at various cpu to start off with.
Ive seen the 3400+ 64bit Sempron, and the 3200+ amd 64 venice core.
WHich would be better for me, buying the sempron which is chepper but occupies slot 754 or the athlon 3200+ which uses the more recent 939. Would there be any point in getting the 3200+ just because it uses a more up to date socket? Im not planning on doing gaming, but various encoding and video editing would be essential.
Thanks!
