oh yes.. im looking for suggestions .. double check for compatibility..possiblly something better for less money...ect

Could drop the mobo a little and go for a C2D.

Is 2GB of Fast ram really necessary for school work?

+ you need a case, unless you have one.

I would drop the ram in favour of 1GB corsair Value RAM, and if your really cheap i would get a Sempy 3000+ CPU.
