Default Sata card and new hard drive

will these work together?

I plan to buy those later today or tommorow... (depending on how soon my question is answered)

if anyone knows of a better combo... feel free to post it

my price range is about $140 for both

The answer is no cos the hard drive is sata 2 3.0gb but the controler card is only sata 1 1.5 gb x4

Yes, it is a bit pricey, but the other (cheaper) ones are for PCI-E.

BTW, in your sig, you misspelled "TV Tuner."

Yes, they would be backwards compatible, but the drive would only run at 1.5Gb/s
