Default The right video card?

I have a old Dell GX280 Small Form Factor desktop, I know nothing about this sort of thing, there are a lot of video card on the market i'm just worried I'll pick one that "won't work" for this model. Could you guys help me out? Thanks in advance guys

I'm also looking for a good gaming video card, nothing amazing something that can handle most games should be cool enough.

Thanks again guys.

Your computer only has PCI slots, can only hold low profile cards, and your PSU is only 180W. With that combination there's not much choice, and definitely nothing that will run anything more than rather old and/or casual games.

You best/only bet would be this:
Newegg.com - JATON Video-208PCI-128TV GeForce MX4000 128MB 64-bit DDR PCI Low Profile Ready Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

There's a FX 5200 offered, but I think it takes more power than you have.

Thanks Trotter. I found a similar thread here: http://www.avforums.com/forums/graph...gx280-sff.html

Seems this guy got a better card working on the same model as me. Do you think this can be done? Thanks again for the help Trotter.

Edit: Could a MOD delete my past posts, I didn't see the "must be approved before posting" screen. Opps, my bad lol.

^ a 8400GT or a 9400GT or 8500GT will all work, as long as they are PCI and low profile.

Great. Which one would you recommend best for gaming? Thanks for the reply Phil.

Good catch. I couldn't find the wattage info on those models as they are no longer in production.

According to the Graphics Performance list, it would be
9400 GT > 8500 GT > 8400 GS
Graphics Performance List
